Air transport makes a valuable and unique contribution to the sustainable development of our global society. Efficient and affordable access to markets helps improve living standards and foster economic growth, which, in turn alleviates poverty and, through reduced environmental degradation, leads to a more sustainable world.

In the following pages, you will find information and hyper-links to sustainability reports, projects and initiatives that are underway within the industry worldwide. Some of these are are undertaken by ATAG, ATAG's members, and by industry players and stakeholders in the aviation industry.

Tourism for Tomorrow Awards 11/2004
The World Travel & Tourism Council is delighted to present the Tourism for Tomorrow Awards. Launched in 1991 by British Airways and, since 2003, under the auspices of WTTC, Tourism for Tomorrow recognises and promotes best practice in travel and tourism development around the world.
