ATAG Aviation & environment summit

  • Summit 2012 and exhibition - 21 March 2012, Geneva

  • The 6th Aviation & Environment Summit will bring together some 350 industry and key stakeholder representatives in Geneva, Switzerland on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 March 2012 in another pivotal moment for the aviation sector as it reaffirms its commitment to sustainable growth and catalysing the green economy.

Aviation is a key driver of the world economy, connecting businesses, enabling tourism and facilitating trade more efficiently than any other form of transport. It provides 33 million people with jobs around the world and flies some 2.6 billion passengers each year on 23,000 aircraft to 1,700 airports through millions of miles of flightpath. All this, with a carbon footprint of 2% of mankind’s annual CO2 output.

Aviation has come together like no other industry to work on common programmes for reducing its environmental impact. The Aviation & Environment Summit is where we discuss and review our progress.

As a meeting place for aviation environment leaders, the Summit is a platform to explore ways in which aviation can continue to provide jobs, power economic growth and serve the flying public, whilst minimising our environmental footprint.

The Summit website is now live at www.enviro.aero/summit and registration is now open.

Join us in Geneva. This is an invitation-only event for those working in aviation, government, environmental groups, suppliers to the industry and the media. Spaces are limited so please register early.
