Webinar: Asia-Pacific's role in shaping global air travel

With Asia-Pacific countries poised to lead global aviation growth over the next two decades, rising air travel demand will serve as a catalyst for tourism, foreign investment and infrastructure development. However, it is crucial for the industry and regulators to prioritise sustainable growth by addressing challenges such as mass tourism and decoupling carbon emissions from growth.

The Air Transport Action Group (ATAG) and the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) co-hosted a webinar on Tuesday 10 June 2025, during which we delved into key insights from the Aviation: Benefits Beyond Borders report. The discussions highlighted aviation’s vital role in job creation, regional development and sustainable growth, while also addressing the challenges ahead.

Speakers

  • Haldane Dodd, Executive Director, ATAG
