The ATAG Communicators Working Group that was revived in 2024 held its first physical meeting in London in May. The purpose was to connect, share best practices, and discuss the current communications challenges of the global air transport industry and strategies. There was a packed agenda with sessions on the following:
- Key communications priorities for 2025: Waypoint 2050, COP30, the ICAO Assembly, the socio-economic benefits of aviation.
- The EU aviation outlook for 2025, provided by Airlines for Europe.
- CANSO’s strategic blueprint for the future of airspace management: CATS CONOPS.
- Storytelling for the global aviation community and bringing the human-centred narratives of global aviation to life.
- Examples from various industry experts of their own communications campaigns: Boeing, easyJet, London Luton Airport.
- Exploring case studies and best practices in communications campaigns from across various industries by 80:20 Communications.
- Communications surrounding SAF with contributions from LanzaJet and SkyNRG.
