Aviation: Benefits Beyond Borders – outreach

In September, ATAG organised its third webinar on the Aviation: Benefits Beyond Borders report that was published at the end of 2024. The event was organised in partnership with ENAC Alumni: the organisation for alumni of the French Civil Aviation University in Toulouse.

The webinar drew on data from the recent report to explore the pivotal role of aviation in global economic development, how aviation supports global growth, prosperity and job creation, the future economic outlook and the required skills and expertise of the future workforce.

Nina Brooks, Executive Vice President of ICCAIA, Valérie Guénon of Safran and Felix Eggert, ATAG's Communications and Policy Advisor were the main speakers. The event recording is available below.

Felix also presented the findings of Aviation: Benefit Beyond Borders 2024 in July 2025, at a seminar by the European Air Transport University in Hamburg: a training course by ENAC. In addition, Felix shared highlights online with a meeting of the Environment Committee of the Association of Asia-Pacific Airlines.

Aviation: Benefits Beyond Borders is usually published every two years and ATAG is planning to update the analysis during the course of 2026. Any ATAG members who were not involved in the 2024 edition and who could contribute data on the economic and social benefits of aviation in 2026 are invited to reach out to Felix Eggert.
